The Nelson/Tasman region has many beautiful places to explore including Tonga Island Marine Reserve, Rotoiti Nature Recovery Project and Farewell Spit and Puponga Farm Park.
The Motueka area encompasses Mt Richmond Forest Park, the southern part of Abel Tasman National Park, and the mountainous headwaters of the Karamea and Motueka rivers which form part of Kahurangi National Park.
St Arnaud is the gateway to Nelson Lakes National Park. You can walk to Lake Angelus or take the Travers Sabine Circuit.
